The origins
What is Numerology?
Pythagorean numerology is an ancient system that traces its origins back to the Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, who lived around the 6th century BCE. Though often associated with his work in geometry, Pythagoras is considered the father of numerology because of his belief that numbers are the fundamental symbols of all creation and hold mystical significance. Pythagoras and his followers developed numerology by exploring the relationships between numbers, music, and the cosmos, believing that the universe operates through mathematical principles and cycles. The practice was influenced by earlier traditions in Babylon and Egypt, but Pythagoras' approach was revolutionary because it combined mathematics with spiritual and mystical insights, laying the foundation for Western numerology.
Starting from your date of birth, specific calculations are performed to generate key numbers. These numbers are then assigned symbolic meanings that help reveal your personality traits, gifts, life path, compatibilities. This ancient system offers valuable insights for self-understanding and personal growth.
